About the day
Each November we hold Homeless Heroes Day (HHD) as our biggest fundraiser to support veterans and others experiencing homelessness in Atlanta. Georgia companies with a taste for hands-on philanthropy assemble thousands of backpacks in one morning.
The Backpack Project, Inc. provides the supplies and runs the distribution, so your team gets a real service experience. The day is meant to be meaningful, educational, and enjoyable.

RSVP
Friday, November 20, 2026 at Westside Warehouse, Atlanta. After you RSVP you get a confirmation email with event details. No printed ticket: we check registration at the door.
Yes. We provide breakfast and coffee in the morning.
Parking at the morning venue is free: about 120 spaces on site plus about 100 reserved spaces in the neighboring lot. TBP staff will direct you. Partner sites have limited parking in the afternoon, so we encourage carpooling.
No. Most corporate teams have already donated, and attending does not require a personal donation. If you would like to give, $25 packs one backpack on our Donate page.
No. We verify registration at check-in. Just make sure you have submitted the RSVP form.
Casual and client-focused. You will be on your feet and indoors for most of the day.
Yes. Unvaccinated children may not be able to join distribution at some partner shelters. The packing and learning portion of the day, 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM, is open to them.
Yes. Past teams have brought their corporate clients.
